unity tutorial 3

       Unity Tutorial 03

Hello
Welcome to my blog
Today I was looking at the Unity website for more tutorials to help develop my game making skills on unity. The tutorials I looked at was "1.4 - Step into the Driver's Seat" and "Challenge 1 - Plane Programming" these tutorials have helped me with developing my skill on game making.

The first tutorial I looked at was continuing the pervious tutorials I was doing in the website. In this tutorial I learned how to move the vehicle and how to control the speed of the vehicle. I learned this using coding. The second tutorial was a challenge on making a plane that moves forward, downward, left and right. Then we had to control the speed of the plane. This was a test of my what
I learned from the other tutorials and I have also learned some extra features from this challenge and I can use these again to make other games and it helped me with my coding

Overall learned a lot from these tutorials and i know a lot more about how to make a game on unity. These will help me with own game development that i could use in future projects.

Hello
Welcome to my blog
Research is a big part of writing about the topics I'm looking to write about. I will look at a few ways that I can research my topics. I have been looking online through out the library and I was able to find sources on both my topics.

My first topic is gameplay analysis
I looked online first to see what I can find and I found One of the https://docs.deltadna.com/gameplay-analysis/  is a scholar website that I found online and this has a lot of information that I could use for the my part of the booklet but I'm still looking for more research sources say I would be able to discuss the topic of Gameplay analysis.Image result for gameplay analysis

The second topic that I have I will be writing on is Game Design Tools. I looked online to find more sources and I found another scholar website  https://link.springer.com/chapter/10.1007/978-3-642-41106-9_3 this source will give more information I can use to write about this topic and I will look for even more sources.

Looking at these links I will be able to find more sources to help me get more information and to know more about my topic.

                                      Making mistakes

Hello
Welcome to my blog.

Making mistakes is a big part of life. I have made plenty of mistakes in my life and I was able to learn from this. Mistakes are important are a huge component of school and college because they are all important part of college. So, I read two articles that go deep into making mistakes.

The first article I read was “Seven Ways to Crush Self-Doubt in Creative Work” by John Spencer. http://www.spencerauthor.com/seven-ways-to-crush-self-doubt/  In this article John talks about the seven ways to stop self-doubt like:

1.       Don’t Compare Yourself to Others: This one I feel is the most important way to stop self-doubt as comparing yourself to someone is unhealthy and I think it’s better to compare yourself to how you were yesterday.

2.        Abandon Perfectionism

3.       Be Vulnerable to a Trusted Community

4.       Embrace a Growth Mindset

5.       Set Goals that are within your control

6.       Treat Your Work Like an Experiment

7.       Trust Yourself: This another important part of stopping self-doubt. If you don’t trust yourself and be scared that you will mistake this only cause you to limit yourself and in turn, make the mistake of not doing enough because you don’t trust yourself.

The other article I read was How to Get Past Negativity Bias in Order to Hardwired Positive Experiences by Katrina Schwartz. https://www.kqed.org/mindshift/44408/how-to-get-past-negativity-bias-and-hardwire-positive-experiences  This article really goes deep into how our mind works and how are mind first thinks negatively instead of thinking positive. “self-directed neuroplasticity. To grow inner strength, people have to turn experiences (short-term memories) into activated states that are installed traits (long-term and implicit memories)”. This quote sums up the article in how people need to build strength by turning are experiences into traits.
These articles go deep into how mistakes and the fear if it holds us back and we can overcome it.

Unity Tutorial 01

First step in making a game

Hello
Welcome back to the blog

Making a game a is challenge and now that I’ve start using Unity, I’m able to start my process in making a game
I started off watching tutorials by Jimmy Vegas https://jvunity.weebly.com/cobalt-series.html. I watch the first three videos in his video series on how to use Unity. He goes into detail on how use Unity and learning all the things you can do to make a game. There is lots of things to use for making a game, so it leaves you with a lot of options.
So, starting off I learned from to the video the layout of Unity and how it works.  Then I made 3D objects and changed the shaped and size of them.  So was able to make items for a game. Then I learned how to change the terrain. I was able to change the shape of terrain adding hills, bumps and was able to change the color of the terrain.
There is even more to learn about for making a game and will be able to watch the rest of Jimmy’s videos and be able to learn all I need to know in making a game on unity.
